Truco is a popular card game played in Southamerica. Of the several variants known of Truco, this is the Argentinean way of playing it. Each player gets three cards per deal, and plays them out in tricks.
The main objective of the game is to win 30 points. There are three ways of scoring points:
Flor, which is a hand of three cards of the same suit; If no one has Flor, points may be scored for Envido - a combination of two cards in a suit, or failing that, a single card;
In addition to Flor or Envido, points are scored for the Truco, which involves taking the majority of the three tricks, or the first trick if one trick is tied.
It is possible for a player who has Flor to pick his best two cards and bet on Envido instead of Flor, on the chance of getting more points. Bets on Flor or Envido are made during the first trick, while bets on Truco can be made at any time. If a player has no interest in the Flor or Envido can immediately bet on the Truco.
However, if another player wants to bet on the Flor or Envido, they will have to do so before answering the Truco bet.

Pros and cons of Truco app for iPhone and iPad

Truco app good for

Please an update so we can play against other people over the Internet
Please update to run properly on ios7 and iPhone 5 screen size, other then that its fun, thanks!
Im so happy to found a game so easy to enjoy !!! I was looking for Truco for a long time and Ive found it !! You shoud try it out !!! Best !!
I lived in Argentina many years ago and played this card game a lot, but since I left, I havent played. I had totally forgotten about this game until I saw it in the App Store. I love it!! The graphics are a lot better than many of the other card games in the App Store. I like how you can move the cards around to see whats behind them and they dont "snap" back into place once moved. I really like how it shows the rank of the cards (and how you can go mid-game and review the ranks). I do wish it explained the rules a little better and explained the envido point system, since Ive completely forgotten. Also, it would be cool to have a stats board, to see how Im doing compared to the computer. But overall, its a great game. Its areally fun game, even for people who dont have ties to Argentina. :)
this game is excellent, i cant stop playing it! if only people from all over the world would learn how to play Truco they would find not only a great card game but an excelent rendition of it on the iphone. highly recommended!
Im from Argentina and I own an iPhone in the US... Truco is one of those things you miss the most when you live abroad. Luckily, I have a few friends from Argentina that live by me so every now and then we get together and play Truco at home. When I saw this app was released, I knew I had to give it a try. And WOW what an amazing job these guys have done. Ive never written a review before but these guys deserve it. Excellent graphics, ingenious use of the touch screen... I loved the way the app greets you with a Tango clip and the Filete-themed screens (Filete is an art style that is related to Tango). Playing the game is a lot of fun - however, Im looking forward to trying the multiplayer mode which I havent tried yet. Odasoft, los felicito y muchisimas gracias!!!

Some bad moments

Please update to: -play in pairs -have Perico and Perica -play in pairs with 3 computer players -Full Spanish sounds
There needs to be a full Spanish version. Add the perico y perica And to be able to play in pairs! This game isnt fun without this stuff it needs an update
Keep trying, but cant start a multiplayer game with my dad! Somethings awry...
